The quote comes from the end of the film. As John McClaine (played by Bruce Willis) and his estranged wife, Holly (played by Bonnie Bedelia) into their rented limo. Their driver, Argyle (played by De’voreaux White), closes the door and delivers the quote, commenting on all the chaos that occurred throughout the film.

Geek wisdom:  Every family have their own unique Christmas traditions. Some may seem very similar but some may feel outlandish. However, it would be a bad idea to simply dismiss the “outlandish” traditions. Rather, try to experience them for yourself. You never know; you might try to adapt them to your own.

On a side note, though, although the film was set during the Christmas season, Die Hard was actually released in the middle of July. Go figure.

The quote comes from the middle of the film as John McClaine (played by Bruce Willis) manages to escape certain death by finding a ventilation duct to crawl into. As he crawls through it, he flips on his lighter to see how much vent he has to squeeze through to get out. In sarcastic frustration, he delivers the quote.

Geek wisdom:  Not everything will go ahead as planned. There are eventually going to be problems that will pop up that we don’t expect. That doesn’t mean we should quit, though. We all have to bear through them to make it to the goal.

The quote comes from the middle of the film after Hans Gruber (played by the late Alan Rickman) and his group had taken over the Nakatomi building. John McClaine had just killed Tony Vreski after a long, brutal fight but he managed to come out on top. McClaine decides to send a message to Hans Gruber by using the elevator to send Tony’s body… but he does leave a not so subtle message about the new armament he now has…

Geek wisdom:  Picking out a gift for someone shouldn’t really be that hard. Everyone wants something different for Christmas. Sometimes, it may be just something they want. Sometimes, it may be something they need. In order to figure it out, you have to understand that person’s situation and know what they would appreciate. All you have to do is pay attention to that person and notice these things.
