The story behind the quote: This week’s quote comes from Friends, which was a sitcom that started in the 1994 and lasted for 10 seasons. The show revolves around a group of friends with different personalities and their trials and tribulations in life.
The quote comes from the episode entitled “The One Where Ross Got High.” One of the storylines has Rachael (played by Jennifer Aniston) made a trifle, a dessert with several confectionery treats such as jam and custard that are layered into a cake. However, she makes a mistake and adds a layer of meat as the cookbook she was working on had the pages stuck together and she accidentally added the ingredients for shepard’s pie. While practically everyone hates the resulting trfile, Joey (played by Matt LeBlanc) loves it and he even explains his reasoning.
