Who said it?: Craig Jones
The story behind the quote: This week’s quote comes from the stoner comedy from 1995, Friday. The film follows two friends, Craig Jones (played by Ice Cube, who also wrote the film) and Smokey (played by Chris Tucker), who, in the main plot attempt to find $200 to pay off a drug dealer.
The quote comes early in the film. While Craig and Smokey are hanging out, they are approached by their neighbor, Felisha (that’s actually how it’s spelled in the credits). She is basically a mooch and tries to borrow Smokey’s car and the marijuana he’s smoking. When Smokey rebuffs her, Felisha turns to Craig. Craig, without even turning his head to face her, delivers the quote.
As mentioned before, the name of the character is actually “Felisha” and not “Felicia.” However, as the quote has become a meme with the alternative spelling, this is the “official” quote now.
Geek wisdom: It is always a good idea to cut out the negative people in your life. These are the people who will try to take advantage of your good nature and will even attempt to make you feel bad when you don’t give in to their demands. It’s much better to just say goodbye to them.
