The story behind the quote: This week’s quote comes the classic 1950 animated Disney film, Cinderella. The film is a basically a retelling of the fairy tale based on an old folk tale that does follow the general beats of the story seen in the movie. The story focuses on a girl named Cinderella who is living with her abusive step family. But her fortunes change when her fairy godmother helps her get into the royal ball to meet her Prince Charming.
The quote comes somewhere near the middle of the film. After her stepsisters destroy the gown she made for the ball. Cinderella is left alone in the house, distraught. Her fairy godmother appears and says there’s still time to get to the ball and delivers the quote.
