The story behind the quote: This week’s quote comes from the 2025 animated Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix film, KPop Demon Hunters. The movie follows HUNTR/X, a KPop music group consisting of Rumi, Zoey and Mira. In secret, however, the trio are also demon hunters who protect the world. When a new threat in the form of the Kpop group, the Saja Boys, enter the picture and start weakening the barrier between the human and demon worlds, it’s up to HUNTR/X to find a way and put a stop to them.
The quote comes in the middle of the film. Rumi, Zoey and Mira form a plan to attack and eliminate the Saja Boys after one of their promotion tour shows. However, they are spotted and are called down to the stage by the Saja Boys via a slide from their nesting spot on the top of the stage. Not wanting to blow their cover as well as keep their fans happy, HUNTR/X obliges and try to use the slide. Unfortunately for them, their stylish outfits don’t really work on slides that well, leading to Zoey (voiced by Ji-young Yoo) to deliver the quote.
Geek wisdom: Tools are just that: tools. They can be useful at times but they can also be a detriment if you don’t use the right one at the right time. Always try to pick the right tool for the right job.
